Photo Race Report: Toronto Waterfront Marathon --- Full/ultra Marathon #41



Start corrals - awaiting my corral's turn to the start line.

The race has begun! North on University Avenue. Slight uphill inline.

1 K. To the left is Queen's Park legislature. Still north on University Avenue.

2 K. Royal Ontario Museum. Now heading east. Rain - don't really mind that.

Man dressed as a chef. He set a Guiness world record!

Honest Eds. Approaching south of Bathurst.

4 K. South on Bathurst Street - welcome change as now slight downhill.

5 K. My time is 18 minutes taken off the "gun time".

6 K. Approaching Bathurst and Front Street - the bridge.

Downhill :-) To the right is Fort York.

7 K. Approaching Lakeshore.

Heading west on Lakeshore. Canadian National Exhibition.

Ontario Place. I like the back-and-back - great to see the runners on the other side.

Interesting costume - the lady had the face of a cat. Not sure how she ran in that.

Thank you to the many volunteers who stood in the rain. Organized stations with gatorade first and then water.

Aargh - uphill. Time to walk!

Time for the half and full marathoners to diverge (at Bay Street).

Worst nightmare. Hope the man is okay.

Very cool! The man is in the middle.

Batman and Batwoman. Had photo taken last year with Batman.
 
"You can. You will. Just run." So appreciative of the spectators who took the time to make signs and cheer us on.

What goes up must come down. This is great - downhill.

Greektown - always a favourite.

Ed Whitlock - he's 85 years old and ran today's marathon at 3 hours 56 minutes. Incredible.
