New York City Trip

Supervised a group of students for the New York Mock trials. Students did very well and I am proud of them. Some photos:

Friday evening was dinner and cruise. Boat went quite close to the Statue of Liberty. Here we are!

Yeseterday, the group went to Central Park. Amazing fall colours!

Another scenic photo!

Visited the M&M store. Photo!

Brooklyn Bridge.

At Times Square. I got in the live photo!

New York is twice as busy as Toronto. Too much going on - which makes it fun! Want to desperately run the New York Marathon. Will put my name in the draw box again.

Phoro Race Report - Toronto Waterfront Marathon

Photo Race Report - Toronto Waterfront Marathon

8th time participating in the Toronto Waterfront Full Marathon. My favourite marathon due to the crowds, organization, scenery.

Picked up bib Friday after work at the expo. Registered for 2016 full marathon at discounted price of $60 + HST.

Nice short sleeve tech shirt.

Start line. This is cool - man had extra bib so gave it to his toy pet. Wore 3 tech shirts and long pants - 6C cloudy/sunny.

Approaching start line. Corrals organized by predicted finish times. Took 18 minutes before my corral was "released".

North on University. Approaching Queen's Park. Not the simplest as uphill run at the start.

2 K - Royal Ontario Museum. West on Bloor Street.

Honest Ed's. To head south on Bathurst.

5 K - Alexandra Park.

Cool photo at the water station!

Reached Bathurst and Front. Heading to the waterfront.

Gardiner Expressway above.

Canadian National Exhibition.

Water station. Thank you to the wonderful volunteers.

10 K.

Heading turnaround on the Lakeshore.

13 K.

Entertainment - York University Lions Steel band.

Nice fall colours.

Great advice - "Never ever give-up!"

Even this dog is clapping at the runners!

Rogers Centre and CN Tower.

Almost 20 K. Full and half marathoners diverge.

21.1 K!

Distillery District - 22 K.

North on Bayview - beside Lower Don Valley Trail. Fall colours!

Approaching turnaround. A quiet section of the race.

Uphill. Thus, walk.

Photo with Batman. He raises money for Sick Kids Hospital.

Another uphill. This is on Lakeshore.

Interesting! Bouncing basketball throughout the full marathon.

30 K. Woodbine Beach Park on the right.

31 K. Heading north to Queen Street East.

Now heading east on Queen Street East.

Great quote from a man's tech shirt from the Houston Marathon.

Some uphill climbs. Turnaround.

More volunteers at the water stations.

Heading south - back to Woodbine Beach Park.

35 K done.

The man in the middle is famous - Rick - he has run every Toronto Waterfront Marathon!

Funny sign. Surprising nobody is taking him up on the offer?

39 K. Challenging uphill climb - thus, walk break!

Nice view of Toronto. Downhill so time to run!

40 K.

41 K. St. Lawrence Market. Approaching Gooderham Building.

300 m to go. Heading north on Bay Street - uphill.

200 m to go!

Reward! The finisher's medal featuring the Humber River Bridge. Interesting that is featured as we don't run through it.

Proud little brother!

Full/ultra marathon #33 is now in the books. Two weeks until the Hamilton Marathon.
