Week in Review -- Montreal Marathon cancelled

Learned a few days ago that the Montreal Marathon has been cancelled. Today was probably the hottest day of the year -- 29C and with humidity mid to upper 30sC. A good decision by the race organizer for safety of the participants. I checked on-line that there was a death in 2014 with this marathon due to the weather. To have gone ahead would have made the race conditions dangerous. I am okay with taking a hit with the VIA train (get slightly over 50% back) and no refund to the cheap hotel. There will be a complimentary race for any Rock and Roll marathon.

This week, three runs:

* Wednesday = 5 K
* Yesterday = 27 K
* Today = 5.5 K

YTD = 1524.6 K

"Heat wave" continues until Wednesday. Can't wait until it is over as we are in the fall season.

Signed up for Picton Marathon, Niagara International Marathon, Toronto Waterfront Marathon, and Hamilton Marathon.

Started Saturday run at 6:45 AM as temperature was 18C and rising to 27C

Heading west on the Martin Goodmain Trail -- just past Ontario Place.

Fall season has arrived - yet having July weather. Leaves to change colour soon.
