23 K run & doctor's update

Saw a sports medicine doctor last week. Doctor not convinced I have runner's knee as there wasn't pain when I went to the appointment. He did say I should never have run last week 20+ K with my new shoes. Have a physio appointment tomorrow to learn strengthening exercises. Doctor stated my legs are tight. He said if it's not runner's knee if could be early signs of oestioperosis (sp?).

23 K today wearing my older shoes. Can feel the left knee - but not pain. Will strengthen the knees this week as Dallas Marathon is 2 weeks away.

Bud and I went to Woofstock this past Saturday and Sunday. Photo with Santa Claus - Bud does not sit on people's lap so on the floor he is!

22 K today

22 K today. Wore a toque and mittens since it was cold this morning - not to mention a moment of flurries. Wore new pair of shoes. Left leg is bugging me - may be runner's knee? May need to make appointment with sports medicine doctor to get it checked out. Not good as Dallas Marathon is 3 weeks away.

1 K completed. View of Roy Thomson Hall with CN Tower in background.

Sugar Beach.

Entering Cherry Beach Park on Martin Goodman Trail.

No more fall season.

Registered for Dallas Marathon - December 13

Have registered for the Dallas Marathon on Sunday, December 13. Leaving Toronto Saturday morning and returning Monday (have been approved for a personal day from work). I'm thinking I may run a USA marathon each fall. Once again, I will put my name in the lottery to run the New York Marathon (however, if selected, it will cost close to $500 CAD to register!). If I don't get selected, I'm eyeing the Philadelphia Marathon which occurs in mid-late November.

Need to make a deep tissue massage appointment for this week to have my legs loosened. Been a busy year with school and work; running has made everything manageable :-) Looking forward to full/ultra marathon #35 in a month. Then that'll be all until the Toronto Marathon in early May 2016.

On another note, Bud and I went to see the Santa Claus parade. Warm weather as we waited about 45 minutes until Santa Claus arrived. Bud told Santa he's been a good boy this year.

The star of the parade!!!

Bud was too small to see the floats; and I could not lift him.

Few spectators on course. The aid stations were enthusiastically staffed by the volunteers.

Definitely walking up this hill!

The bridge.

Heading east on the boardwalk.
