20 K run

Yesterday = 5 K
Today = 20 K

Both days temperatures above 0C and running on dry paths. No complaints here!

YTD = 90 K

Put my name in the lottery for the New York Marathon. Free for the lottery however if name selected $358 US -- expensive! Just remembered that I registered for the Hamilton Marathon on the same day as the New York Marathon - thus, may withdraw my name from the lottery. Last year's chance of getting selected was 24%.

20 K long run

20 K long run today. Been a busy week at work and battling a cold. Some reason my phone wasn't working on the run - so no photos. Phone is working again after I put the charger in - it said the phone restarted. Strange... Good run on the Martin Goodman Trail - no snow, not cold. Perfect winter weather!!!

YTD = 60 K

20 K - cold day!

20 K long run today in cold (but snowless) weather. Made the trek to Ashbridges Bay Park. Saw a man running with a golden retriever. The dog stopped abruptly, lay down and wanted a belly rub!

Stopped by the Canadian Tire to purchase a digital tire gauge. Had to call the CAA twice this past week - once since I thought my tire had lost air (didn't!) and another time since the car wouldn't start - got the battery changed as it was nearly its end. Turned out that I needed to put fuel injector into the full tank of gas.

YTD = 40 K

Back to work Monday!

5 K today; Ottawa Marathon tech shirt revealed!

5 K today in cold weather. Good thing no snow. YTD = 20 K

Ottawa Marathon revealed tech shirt. Amazing! Shirts seem to get better and better with each year. Looking forward to spending time in the nation's capital during its 150th birthday!

Featuring Canadian landmarks from Quebec City’s Chateau Frontenac to Calgary’s Saddledome to Toronto’s CN Tower, the back of the shirt includes many of the sights familiar to Canadians and visitors from abroad, as well as a view of Ottawa’s gorgeous skyline on the front.
Long run tomorrow. Still very cold...

New Year! 5 K today

Year 2017 has arrived! 5 K today. Year #10 as a runner. This is also Canada's 150th birthday. Further, Bud turns 10 years old on March 22. Will reach 50 full/ultra marathons this year. Lots of minestones to look forward to.

Looking forward to another great year of running. Have registered for:

  • Around the Bay - March 26
  • Toronto Marathon - May 7
  • Whitby Marathon - May 21
  • Ottawa Marathon - May 28
  • Niagara Ultra 50 K - June 17
  • Montreal Marathon - September 24
  • Toronto Waterfront Marathon - October 22
  • Hamilton Marathon - November 5
Eyeing an USA marathon - still not confirmed. Maybe St. Louis Marathon (April 9) or Seattle (November 26)?
