Memphis Full Marathon Race Report

Full/ultra marathon #66 Race Report:  Memphis Marathon

YTD = 1859.2 K

- Start delayed an hour due to the rain and thunderstorms from the night before.
- Prior to start, rain.
- When race started, turned sunny -- 70 to 75 F
- Glad I left my toque in my room; wore a tech shirt and vest jacket -- should have worn shorts.


Visited Civil Rights Museum yesterday. Room 306 is where Martin Luther King Jr. was assassinated 50 years ago.

Time for the full and half marathoners to diverge.

12 miles - for the second half, the course is scenic -- i actually preferred the second half

20 K - numerous uphills - some rather steep; walked many of them, power walked others, and ran slowly on the rest.
