Full/ultra marathon #49
5 full marathons in 5 weeks
YTD = 800.4 K
The Ottawa Marathon is one of my favourite races:
* large expo
* never lonely - lots of runners, lots of spectators
* water stations organized
* scenic route - along Rideau Canal, Ottawa River after passing Prime Minister's home
* 2 provinces - great to spend 5K in Gatineau, Quebec!
With Canada 150, many hotels were minimum 2 nights. I stayed in the Ottawa Jail Hostel -- here's my room - 9 feet by 3 feet - single bed. This was an experience! |
Jail cell #614. Stayed 1 night - which was enough as not easy to fall asleep. |
